Join The Daily Beast as a Breaking News Reporter (Contract)

Are you passionate about news? Do you thrive on breaking stories and delivering in-depth analysis? The Daily Beast is seeking dynamic and dedicated Breaking News Reporters to join our team. Multiple roles available for full-time or part-time Reporters.

About The Role

You will be based outside the U.S. to help deliver news to our U.S. audience around the clock. You are an all-rounder who is on top of U.S. politics, global news, media and pop culture. You have a deep understanding of American culture, preferably having lived in the U.S., or a track record of working for American publications.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify the breaking news that matters and write intelligent, exciting copy with a punchy attitude that separates us from other outlets.
• Collaborate with editors and other reporters to ensure comprehensive coverage.
• Opportunity to work on your own investigations and exclusives.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in news reporting.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Shifts for this position will be during the week or weekend. Times will vary.

Pay Range Salary

The pay range for this position is £46,000-51,000 annually.
