Independent business media organisation focused on corporate investing seeks a journalist with strong design and production skills to create engaging content across our print, digital and social media platforms.

Job Description

We are an independent business media organisation with a global remit, focused on corporate investing. We are looking for a talented content and production editor to create high-quality, engaging content across our print, digital and social media platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong design and HTML skills as well as experience in driving team projects forward. This is a role for an all-rounder who is keen to be involved in every aspect of media production, with ample opportunities to keep learning new skills.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Content creation: Write and edit journalistic and informational pieces, ensuring accuracy and adherence to our brand voice.
  • Project delivery: Manage the delivery of content projects from concept to publication, across a variety of print, digital and social media.
  • WordPress Management: Publish and optimize content on our WordPress site, using your HTML skills to enhance functionality and layout.
  • Data-driven writing: Interpret data and create insightful, data-led content that supports our messaging and objectives.
  • Design support: Use Canva to design graphics and visuals that complement written content.
  • Editing and review: Collaborate with the editorial team to review and edit articles, ensuring clarity, coherence, and quality.
  • Ecosystem knowledge: Demonstrate an understanding of the investment and startup ecosystems to produce relevant, insightful content.
  • TablePress management: Create and manage tables using TablePress for data presentation in articles.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a content writer, with a portfolio showcasing journalistic and informational writing.
  • Proficiency in WordPress, with a solid understanding of HTML.
  • Experience using Canva for design purposes.
  • Strong project management skills with a history of delivering published content on time.
  • Familiarity with the investment and startup ecosystems.
  • Ability to write data-driven content and interpret data effectively.
  • Experience with editing and refining written articles for publication.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
