Masse is a fast-growing SEO agency, offering our highly-effective “Content at Scale” SEO campaigns to ambitious tech companies focused on the extreme cutting-edge of tech like AI and Robotics.
We’re looking for a Head of Content to join our team and help us continue to produce best-in-class content for our clients. You’ll own the content fulfillment process for our clients, brief and edit every article we create, and develop the content creation processes of our fast-growing business.
As our first Head-of-Function hire, you’ll work alongside our Founder (who leads Client Strategy, Sales and develops our AI systems), our Senior Content Manager (who manages our production pipeline from proofing to publishing) and – of course – our team of inhouse writers.
Your primary objective will be to take ownership of our existing content production processes, improve and optimize them, and continually iterate on and reinforce those processes as our content volume scales higher and higher.
Masse also sits within our own growing portfolio of tech-focused media sites. You’ll have the opportunity to contribute content across our full portfolio, educating our audience on how they can get the best out of their lives and careers through the use of technology like AI and No-Code.

We’re looking for a Head of Content who’s interested in how AI tech can aid – not replace – the writing process and wants to help us build the most efficient, high-quality content creation system on the market.
Here’s What You’ll Do
- Own the end-to-end content planning and briefing process for our writers.
- Edit and oversee every article our writers produce, working together with our proof-reader to ensure articles are high-quality, value-dense and accurate.
- Enhance our existing writing and editing frameworks for writers, while working with our wider team to build out AI-powered systems.
- Build out our Content Templates to help bring SEO and content best practices to every article we produce.
- Work directly with our writers to hone their skills and voice for our clients.
- Work with our members of our team to onboard new clients, including creating content plans, client-specific writing guidelines and reviewing existing content for improvement opportunities.
- Track and report on rankings and general progress for our clients.
Here Are Some Of The Things You Might Work On In Your First 90 Days
In your first 30 days, you might:
- Take ownership of our Briefing and Editing processes (with support!)
- Work with our writers to improve content quality and accuracy.
- Review our existing content and identify areas for improvement.
- Deep-dive into one or more of our clients.
In your first 60 days, you might:
- Put fresh editorial and content creation guidelines in place for our clients.
- Develop better SEO best practices in conjunction with our founder.
- Expand our library of Content Templates, which help our writers stick to best-practice.
- Onboard one of our new clients, developing their content plan and establishing agreed tone of voice and writing guidelines.
In your first 90 days, you might:
- Hire and onboard our next writers.
- Develop AI-driven processes to help us handle high-scale article creation, editing and publishing.
- Build out our own website content and help us reach new clients.
- Own our entire end-to-end content fulfillment process.
What We’re Looking For
- This isn’t your first rodeo. You’ve been living and breathing content for years, you know what good looks like, and you’re a natural-born writer.
- You’ll have experience working in high-volume environments. You’re used to tackling a high volume of articles every week.
- You’re an effective coach. You’ll work with our writers to improve the quality landing on your desk.
- You’re a doer. Sometimes, an article just needs to get done and there’s no one around to do it. While it won’t be the norm, you’re the kind of person who likes to roll up their sleeves.
- You’re process-orientated. You’ll devise, implement and optimize processes for ensuring our fulfillment is top notch.
- You have an eye for detail. You’ll act as the last-line-of-defense for quality and accuracy in our content before it reaches clients.
- You’re not new to SEO. You don’t need to be an SEO expert, but you can analyze search results and create competitive briefs, you’re no stranger to keyword research and you’re comfortable with the latest guidelines from Google.
- You’re an excellent communicator. You’ll face off directly with our clients, so you’ll need to be an excellent communicator, whether that’s on Slack or a Zoom call.
You’ll Stand Out If
- You have technical writing experience. Several of our startup clients are in technical, programming-related spaces.
- You’ve worked in the tech sector. Our clients are funded, Series A and B startups. They thrive at the heart of the US tech sector and you’ll succeed best if you understand their culture and how they think.
