We’re hiring a number of journalism tutor roles to join our London newsroom as we grow our award-winning training teams.
We’re seeking dynamic individuals to embrace our innovative way of teaching multimedia journalism at the UK’s number-one NCTJ journalism school.
Who We’re Looking For
We’re looking for the following range of skills:
- Digital journalism – a passion for multimedia journalism and emerging digital platforms
- Public affairs – an interest in how government works at a local and national level
- Broadcast and audio – experience in content creation across broadcast and audio
Full-time and freelance teaching positions are available.
Successful applicants will be bursting with ideas, boast an understanding of the importance of NCTJ-accredited journalism training and be passionate enough to inspire the next generation of newsroom leaders.

Based in the offices of our award-winning news agencies, News Associates was named the number one journalism course in the UK for eight straight years.
We were also extremely proud to win Innovation of the Year at the NCTJ Awards for Excellence 2020 for our response to training during the pandemic. And then we won it again in 2022 for our coverage of the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
We offer a range of options aimed at postgraduate trainees, from full-time to part-time learning and sports journalism.
We’re also home to the NCTJ’s top-performing undergraduate journalism degree, The School of Journalism, with 100% of our class of 2021 achieving a gold-standard NCTJ Diploma in Multimedia Journalism and a first-class degree – a record-breaking achievement.

The Role & How To Apply
- Hours: 40 hours a week, including some evenings and Saturdays.
- Location: Twickenham, London
- Salary: £25,000-£35,000, dependent on experience
