Baylis Community Media CIC is looking for a news reporter to join our busy team.
We are an award-winning multi-media organisation with two weekly titles, based in Maidenhead and covering the East Berkshire and South Bucks area.
We publish the Maidenhead Advertiser and Slough and Windsor Express along with their growing websites and busy social media accounts.
Baylis Community Media CIC is one of the few truly independent newspaper publishers left in the country and our communities and trusted public interest journalism are at the heart of everything we do.
As a news reporter, you will have the opportunity to cover everything from breaking news to court cases, human interest features, in-depth interviews and more.
Our patch is one of the most varied in the country, and you will get the chance to cover royal events, hold authorities to account and report on stories making national headlines.
You will play a key role in our ambitious plans for digital growth, using social media, newsletters and digital tools to engage with our audiences and driving subscriptions by giving readers the content they want to read, when they want to read it.
The role is open to NCTJ-qualified reporters looking for a new challenge in a supportive environment or an exceptional trainee reporter.
You will be given the chance to develop your multi-media skills and offered training and support.
An NCTJ pre-entry certificate, including 100wpm shorthand, is an advantage. The successful candidate must have a car and a clean driving licence.
As well as an attractive employment package, employees will be given the equipment they need for hybrid working.
