The FT’s opinion and analysis desk covers the oped, leader/letters and Big Read pages as well as The FT View. We work to a daily schedule for digital, print and podcasts.
We are looking for our Winter and Spring Interns.
We Are Looking For Interns With:
- Study/experience in financial/business journalism
- Interest in Opinion/Comment, our columnists and a knowledge of world affairs and/or global markets and business
- Experience in audio/podcast production and editing
Successful applicants will be scrupulous, diligent, agile and full of ideas
Key Intern Duties Include, But Not Limited To:
- Fact-checking
- House-keeping duties, such as collating diversity data
- Podcast production and editing
- Curating and organising content
You may also help with letters to the editor and on call-outs to readers. While this is not a writing job, you will have the opportunity to pitch stories for an FT byline. We are looking for an enthusiasm for journalism and a genuine interest in the FT, business, economics, geopolitics and current affairs.
The internship is for graduates initially for one month, extendable to three months, working 35 hours per week.

How we work
Our hybrid setup means staff are expected to come into the office 3 days a week, specifically Tuesday-Thursday.
Our office is located across the street from St. Paul’s Cathedral and is easily accessible from all corners of London. There are the main train terminals such as Liverpool Street, Moorgate, Blackfriars, City Thameslink or Waterloo all situated within walking distance or there are several tube stations within a few mins walk such as Mansion House, St. Paul’s, Bank or Barbican.
