We are seeking a Senior Producer to join our team and continue growing our award-winning content across all PinkNews platforms.
As PinkNews grows and our reach expands, so must our content. Tens of millions of users engage with us every month on Snapchat, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, YouTube, and our website.
The Senior Producer will play a fundamental role in creating new and engaging content across all these platforms in line with PinkNews’ mission.
About You
You will be an innovative and experienced producer with a keen eye for a story who can work collaboratively across the production team to ensure we are continually producing exciting and engaging video, branded, commercial and editorial content for our diverse and global audience.
As a producer and team leader you will have a strong understanding of the creative process from ideation to delivery.
You will be a self-starter, with experience of managing a team, and have bags of creative flair and enthusiasm for what we do. Not only will you have the latest video software skills, you will be adept at shooting content, creating a narrative and editing.
You will have a strong network of LGBT+ contacts, including organisations, activists, celebrities and influencers with whom to collaborate and create content for PinkNews platforms.

We are dedicated to achieving global equality for LGBT+ people by educating, engaging and empowering our users through our content, digital and live events and bespoke products and services.
The Role
- Work with the team to produce original and engaging content for our audience
- Work closely with production team leads, Senior Producer and Head of Production, on the day-to-day production of content across all platforms
- Review and publish content in line with PinkNews editorial strategy
- Work with the production team leads on content and revenue strategy for all platforms under production remit
- Work with the production team management on consistent audience growth across social media platforms under remit
- Develop and ensure consistency across the style, tone and quality of PinkNews video content
- Commission and create bespoke assets that show knowledge of and consideration for PinkNews’ social media audiences
- Ensure content published on all PinkNews’ video offerings meets ethical and editorial standards while being legally sound
- Safeguard PinkNews against copyright infringement by clearing assets (words, images, video) use on all content under remit
- Line management responsibilities of junior producers
- Ensure there is a smooth workflow across the week and weekend, identifying resource and content gaps
- Work closely with the production team leads to project manage commercial video content — delegating to junior producers and working cross-departmentally to deliver on time and on budget
About You
- Keen news sense and interest in the LGBT+ community
- Understanding of PinkNews’ platforms
- In-depth understanding of how online video works
- Creative approach to visual storytelling
- Strong self-shooter with a well-developed understanding of composition, lighting, audio, and narrative
- Willingness to work a flexible shift, including evenings and weekends where necessary
Skills And Experience
- NCTJ or BJTC qualification or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro
- Adobe Photoshop skills, desirable
- Adobe After Effects skills, desirable
- Knowledge of growing a YouTube audience, desirable
- Sound knowledge of media law
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
