The Telegraph are offering work experience opportunities, within the Women’s Sport team.
The aim of work experience at The Telegraph is to give you exposure and a greater understanding of how an editorial sports team works within a large newsroom. This includes shadowing members of the team, learning about different parts of the business, getting involved in projects and completing your own presentation.
It’s a chance to gain real insight and develop. They welcome applications from candidates from diverse backgrounds and aspire to inclusive working environments where everyone can thrive.
They offer four one-week work placements from August 2019, paid at the London Living Wage. These placements are open to women and those from traditionally under-represented groups in sports media e.g. lower socio-economic background.
To be considered for a placement you must be at least 18, an EEA resident with the right to work or train in the UK, and able to show a strong interest in working in media, in particular sports journalism – for example, involvement in extra-curricular activities or a dedicated personal website/blog.
