June 24, 2019 (Updated )
This week it’s our third birthday – and we need your help. Over the past three years, the project has grown more than we’d ever have thought it would, but now we need your help to safeguard and support our editorial output.
You can read more about why we’ve put together this crowdfunder here, but the short story is we need to raise at least £250 a month. This will go directly into paying for everything you see on the website, from the advice section and in-depth guides to social media and opportunities.
Currently, our director only works on the site for two days a week – and that’s not a lot of time to get things done (there are quite a lot of things as well). So, we need to bring in some help to take things to the next level.
Any money raised will go towards paying our editorial assistant for five hours a week to update the site (at London Living Wage, ofc), as well as giving a first break to upcoming young journalists by offering them paid shifts and commissions.
If you’re able to support us, you can do so for us £3 a month, and you’ll also receive some pretty cool badges and an exclusive freelance journalism notebook too (more on that on our Medium post). Here’s how you do it:
1. Sign Up For A Free Ko-Fi Account Here
2. Head To The Journo Resources Page – You’ll Be Able To Click Monthly Support
Thanks so much for all of your support in advance. We couldn’t do it without you.
